I went with my brother’s friends to Lake Tahoe on Friday, they gave me a couple of good pointers and tips to tear up the mountain. I’ve gone once before, but myexperiences were limited to falling down the mountain several times. Since then, I’ve learned a couple of things.
Go to the bathroom before hand. You don’t want to have to go while up there.
Keep your weight forward, always. Otherwise, you’ll fall. Also, it’s hard to steer with your weight in the back.
Keep your knees bent.
Don’t go faster than what you’re used to.
Keep on the edges of the board.
Keep hydrated.
Boreal has 10$ fridays (you can use the lift all day on fridays for only 10$).
Wear sunscreen and chapstick, the sun reflects off the ice and you can get burned.
Don’t wear too much, it can get really hot when the sun is out.
If you are going fast enough, you cut across bumps like a knife.
He was testing it at a track for the upcoming movie Redline, when he rammed it into a concrete wall. I’m wondering why they put a concrete wall there. It’d probably be safer for noobs like Griffin if they didn’t have the concrete wall.
The director of the movie (Daniel Sadek) owns a few of the exotics that are seen in the movie, as well as the Ferrari that was crashed by Griffin. He was actually watching as it happened.
“Undercover Brother’s good at karate and all the rest of that, but brother can’t drive,” Griffin said after the accident.
I’m not convinced about the former, but the latter seems to have concrete evidence (ZING!).
There are now only 398 Enzo Ferraris left in the world.
The 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe is the successor of the Infiniti G35, which is one of Nissan/Infiniti’s best selling cars. It’s a car I’ve been raving about it to my friends since I heard it a few months ago. I’d definately like to get my hands on one.
The first thing I’d like to point out about the new car is the front’s aesthetics. The front headlights are shaped much more aggressively and I think that’s awesome. In the past, they had these awkward bug-eyed looking headlights that made me think that if they didn’t have them, I would be driving one right now. It’s because I think the rear tail lights are the most well designed of all the imports, with the Toyota Altezza’s (Lexus IS300, which has styling close to perfection) close behind. Why? Personal preference. Everyone has their own, and I’m merely stating mine. The G37 will also have ANGEL EYES, which are a spectacular addition and will make it really stand out at night.
The second think I’d like to point out the increase in horsepower. It used to be 275 hp and will be going up to 330 hp. On top of this, it’s mpg is actually going to increase!
The G37 will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) or a 5-speed automatic 6MT and sport-pack automatics. Of course, I’d opt for the manual transmission as it’s more fun to drive and after you get used to it – it isn’t bothersome, it’ll be built into your routine and automated.
Let me refer you guys to a potentially life changing document called The Perfect Business– by Richard Russell. You’ll find that internet businesses meet many (maybe even all) of the characteristics of a perfect business.
The reason why I feel that e-commerce is the best is because of low high start up costs with a huge margin for potential.
“2004 online retail sales rose 23.8 percent to $89 billion, representing 4.6 percent of total retail sales. Including travel, online sales also rose 23.8 percent to $141.4 billion. Online retail sales will reach $109.6 billion [in 2005]. Online sales including travel will rise to $172.4 billion this year.” — Forrester
This means that the internet is a great place to do business, and it’s constantly growing. It can be just as profitable as running a brick and mortar (real life) store, but is easier to manage because of a variety of programs that you can use.
The fruits of labor show almost immediately, compared to traditional brick and mortar companies. You can monitor traffic at pin point accuracy and know how you’re doing, where people are coming from and where they are exiting from. This allows you to plug holes that you might have, that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to see in real life.
I liked it a lot, it gave exactly what it sought to give. It had everything that I wanted and more. Rhinos, elephants, you name it — it had it! The battle scenes were well made, very vivid, you could see the effort that was put into making the film. I mean, I’ve never seen someone cut open before, but if I did — I’m sure it would look something like what I saw in 300, that’s for sure.
What I liked the most about it was the essence of a Spartan, the never retreat, never surrender attitude. People need to understand that those people were built to be like that, and that very few people today have that kind of attitude about anything. People are just willing to give up very easily in most everything, which is one of the problems in society today.
One of the things that captured my attention was their freakin’ buffness. Like holy hell, it makes me look at my biceps and go uhm… I’m as buff as when they were kids. It makes me want to do something, like work out.
For huge movie buffs, this would probably be “okay” at best. It’s kind of simple minded, but when you look at the demographic — how many people are movie critics? I feel that Zack Snyder sought to give a crazy glorification of blood frenzy with a few plot nuanaces and such, but for the most part — it wasn’t on the agenda. This isn’t an intellectual WOW I DIDN’T KNOW HE WAS SCHIZO movie, this is a beat em’ up slashy slashy movie.
Gerard Butler’s portrayal of King Leonidas was frikkin’ right on key. It was one of the most believable acts I’ve seen in a very, very long time. He even said himself that it was his destiny to play the role. Now if it’s someone’s DESTINY to play a character, it’s for damn sure that they’d play it right, and play it good at that.
For those who play WC3: Dota Allstars, watch for the guest appearance of Pudge!
I would recommend this movie to anyone, it will definately go down as one of my favorites. I don’t buy a lot of DVDs, but I’m sure I’d take the time to pick up this one when it comes out.
