Whatever I Feel Like Writing About

I randomly decided to watch Initial D and found one of my favorite episodes. I learned a lot and was able to get a lot of new angles that I wasn’t able to understand before, having watched it now that I’m older. This is why people need to constantly be learning. When you watch something old, you can see a lot of different things.

Summary:

- Keisuke explains to this girl that likes him that he used to be irritable and bored with everything, he had no goals and caused a lot of problems.
- Ryosuke takes Keisuke to Akagi and races at the limit, leading Keisuke to think that Ryosuke was going to do a double suicide, but in fact was just really good at racing. This gives Keisuke an outlet for his boredom and irratability — racing.
- Keisuke used to have no goals, but now he does (winning at races, getting better).
- Keisuke tells the girl he can’t date because he has to give Project D his everything. He can’t split up his attention in order to do his best.

- Takumi’s dad explains to his friend that Takumi is chasing his “other self” in the WRX vs the 86. The WRX is better than the 86 and every time Takumi learns a new line in the 86, the WRX learns that line as well. It opens up his eyes to new techniques and expands his thinking.

So, what I take from this anime is this:

- Having a goal will reduce boredom and irritability.
- When you take another perspective and look into it, you learn a lot of new things and gain stronger.
- Sometimes you need to put all your effort into something to get the maximum results.
