Whatever I Feel Like Writing About

Infiniti G37 Front View

The 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe is the successor of the Infiniti G35, which is one of Nissan/Infiniti’s best selling cars. It’s a car I’ve been raving about it to my friends since I heard it a few months ago. I’d definately like to get my hands on one.

The first thing I’d like to point out about the new car is the front’s aesthetics. The front headlights are shaped much more aggressively and I think that’s awesome. In the past, they had these awkward bug-eyed looking headlights that made me think that if they didn’t have them, I would be driving one right now. It’s because I think the rear tail lights are the most well designed of all the imports, with the Toyota Altezza’s (Lexus IS300, which has styling close to perfection) close behind. Why? Personal preference. Everyone has their own, and I’m merely stating mine. The G37 will also have ANGEL EYES, which are a spectacular addition and will make it really stand out at night.

The second think I’d like to point out the increase in horsepower. It used to be 275 hp and will be going up to 330 hp. On top of this, it’s mpg is actually going to increase!

The G37 will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) or a 5-speed automatic 6MT and sport-pack automatics. Of course, I’d opt for the manual transmission as it’s more fun to drive and after you get used to it – it isn’t bothersome, it’ll be built into your routine and automated.

The root of all evil, John Chow is giving away a Nintendo Wii. To enter, all you have to do is write a blog post about it. The contest is sponsored by 1234Pens.com. They make promotional pens.

The Nintendo Wii is a great game system, it even allows you to log online and play with other people. Games representing Nintendo’s flagship franchises, including The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Super Smash Bros., and Fire Emblem have been announced for the console, with only The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and WarioWare: Smooth Moves being released to date in all territories.

There’s nothing to lose and something to gain, so why not give it a shot?

The movie “300” is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel which is about the 480 Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta fight to the death against soldiers the Persians that greatly outnumber them — 300 Spartans, 700 Thespians and other Slave Soldiers against 100,000 men led by the Persian King Xerxes.

This is one of my favorite type of movies, the adrenaline pumping action movies that have plenty of blood splashing gory fights, cool war formations and more

One of the things that captivated me about the Spartans was their never-surrender-fight-to-the-death mentality. It’s not something “normal” people can do. Human instinct is the run away, and for them to have that kind of mentality is something unnatural. And it’s always the unnatural things that get ya.

The skill, audacity and enormous force of will that the Spartans had emboldened in a movie will surely be one you wouldn’t want to miss. I know I’m going to be watching this tomorrow.

Recently, BMW revealed the M3 Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The car features a high-revving V8 powerplant, tuned suspension, a six-speed manual transmission (which is preferable to “more traditional” drivers i.e old people that marketing targets), a carbon fiber roof, and all the exterior modifications typical of an “M” car.

Ah, what I would’ve given to go there! The M3 is one of my favorite cars. It is known for it’s sickeningly quick, beautifully designed engines and handling. Not to mention the exquisite design and sporty two door look. One of the gripes I have are the totally unaggressive headlights. It’s a monster, they need monstrous headlights, but I suspect that their target audience are older people, like 35+ who don’t care about aggressiveness and want refined looks. They’re the ones that can afford it, so it’s probably a smart move by marketing. 240sx enthusiasts like to cry about how it’s not in the spirit of the sport that such expensive cars which cost an arm and leg to modify should be allowed to compete at the track.

BMW has not disclosed the final horsepower rating, but the production M3 is expected to have between 425 and 450 horsepower. Its engine is derived directly from the V10 used in the M5 and M6.

Reminiscent of the carbon fiber roof panel used on the M6 coupe, the M3′s CFRP roof cuts unnecessary weight, and lowers the car’s center of gravity. It also lets the roof edge appear flatter and thus lowers the perceived body height. I personally hate how there’s a bulge on the hood. However, I suspect it’s there for a reason. BMW has no reason to offer styling cues for no reason.

Wide wheel arches, together with the forged 19-inch light alloy rims in the classic Y-spoke design, emphasize the vehicle’s wide track.

The production version of the M3 coupe is expected to be very similar to this thinly-veiled “concept.” It will arrive in showrooms later this year, and will be followed by a convertible variant in 2008. The new M3 is expected to cost somewhat more than the outgoing E46 model, but should remain competitive with the Lexus IS-F and Audi RS4.

“In the past few decades, teachers, principals and parents have been telling everyone they have to go to college and that the key to success is getting that rolled-up parchment so you can mount it on your wall, point to it and say, ‘Hey, look how smart I am!’ ”

An extremely valid point from this article by the Baylor University Lariat. Who hasn’t been told this? It’s been hammered into our brains over and over. Go to college or die, fail, and be miserable for the rest of your lives.

Sometimes, I feel that you don’t need a college degree to succeed. It’s dependant on your personality, what you can do because even if you’re taught every secret to success, it will amount to nothing unless you put forth the effort to do so. The people who will succeed will succeed regardless of what they are taught in college. They can learn from experience or research themselves to find the answer to whatever it is that they are looking for.

“Many students go to college just to get a degree or to socialize.

They have no intention of using their degree, expanding their horizons or even getting smarter; they just want to ease on by.”

I’m sure that many of people can relate to this. There are many people who just aren’t cut out for college, and go merely for the sake of going. They don’t care enough to do anything, and you most often see this in junior colleges, but it’s prevalent in State Universities as well as big private ones, but less so because the tuition runs high, and you don’t want to be wasting money. Junior colleges on the other hand, pay you to go to college (provided you meet certain requirements).
