Whatever I Feel Like Writing About

Simply put, FREAKIN’ AWESOME!

300 Film Picture

I liked it a lot, it gave exactly what it sought to give. It had everything that I wanted and more. Rhinos, elephants, you name it — it had it! The battle scenes were well made, very vivid, you could see the effort that was put into making the film. I mean, I’ve never seen someone cut open before, but if I did — I’m sure it would look something like what I saw in 300, that’s for sure.

What I liked the most about it was the essence of a Spartan, the never retreat, never surrender attitude. People need to understand that those people were built to be like that, and that very few people today have that kind of attitude about anything. People are just willing to give up very easily in most everything, which is one of the problems in society today.

One of the things that captured my attention was their freakin’ buffness. Like holy hell, it makes me look at my biceps and go uhm… I’m as buff as when they were kids. It makes me want to do something, like work out.

For huge movie buffs, this would probably be “okay” at best. It’s kind of simple minded, but when you look at the demographic — how many people are movie critics? I feel that Zack Snyder sought to give a crazy glorification of blood frenzy with a few plot nuanaces and such, but for the most part — it wasn’t on the agenda. This isn’t an intellectual WOW I DIDN’T KNOW HE WAS SCHIZO movie, this is a beat em’ up slashy slashy movie.

Sparta Film

Gerard Butler’s portrayal of King Leonidas was frikkin’ right on key. It was one of the most believable acts I’ve seen in a very, very long time. He even said himself that it was his destiny to play the role. Now if it’s someone’s DESTINY to play a character, it’s for damn sure that they’d play it right, and play it good at that.

For those who play WC3: Dota Allstars, watch for the guest appearance of Pudge!

I would recommend this movie to anyone, it will definately go down as one of my favorites. I don’t buy a lot of DVDs, but I’m sure I’d take the time to pick up this one when it comes out.

Closeby Slider USA in the Westlake District of Daly City lies this open 24-hour, 7 days a week gem of a burger joint. Comparably, the burgers are bigger and subjectively tastier. However, most items there are a little bit more expensive. It’s brighter, and feels more welcoming than Slider’s. One of my favorite things to buy there are the chili fries and a variety of pies. They have hot dogs, as well as milk shakes and is packed whenever I go (around late afternoon and evenings). I would come here a lot more if it were cheaper, but then again — I’m sure everyone else would as well, as if they didn’t already.

What is John Chow dot com?

It’s a blog about all sorts of helpful things such as reviews about all sorts of things such as tips on helping you improve your blog, tips about finance and information about cool new stuff. It’s one of the few blogs I never mind reading because others feel too long winded and boring.

I heard about his site from a forums I visit often (2+2 Publishing), and decided to give it a look. After all, most viral marketing that isn’t self promotion tend to be pretty good and 2+2 members tend to be slightly above average people in terms of t3h smartz. I was captured by John Chow’s website as it was simple and had mountainloads of useful information as well as funny anecdotes worth reading about. He once randomly started a big dance and turned out just a mere $50 profit while his brother made over $300 from hanging coats! That was a fun read.

John Chow and I have a lot in common; we both blog, we’re both Chinese (lol AzN PrYdE), we both like fast cars (Corvettes, Pagani Zondas, except he can afford them =P), and he enjoys helping the community! I… kind of like helping the community! Oh, did I mention he likes to call himself evil? He does!

So evil in fact, he’s donating his earnings to a local church. Joking aside, I think that’s really cool and one of the things that I want to do eventually — give back to the community. After all, there’s only so much you can buy before you have everything (or not, people are inherently greedy…) and then it’s time to give back to the community that helped you get to where you are. Unless of course… it didn’t then uhm… You should give to the community so as to give them a chance you never had =].

John lives in Canada has a successful business. He’s a smart marketer and his blogging now earns him over $7,000 a month. That’s no small figure. And to think he did this all from blogging for only a year and a few months… It feels like a zero-to-Hero story in blog form and is quite inspirational, and that’s why it’s the first blog that comes to mind when I think of the word. His blog is definately worth checking out if you’ve got the extra time, you’ll learn something while you have fun reading some fun posts.

This is a burger joint that has really affordable and well made burgers. It’s typically $7-$10 for a meal that includes a 6 ounce burger, fries and a drink (free refills). Something that has always stumped is why they have bigger sizes for drinks if you have free refills. No matter how big your cup is, you can always get more if you want it, so why buy a bigger cup? It’s just more expensive.

They have a self serve condiment center which is really nice because you get to choose what you put on the burger. They also save on labor, so it’s a win-win situation. The interior isn’t the best, but it’s what you can expect from a typical burger place.

A trick I like to use is to call ahead in order to save time. That way, I have my burger ready as soon as I get there.

So for those on a budget, I’d recommend this restaurant — I personally go there a lot. One of the things I like about it is the parking, which is abundant in the Westlake Shopping Center where it’s located. For other burger joints nearby, try Nation’s Giant Hamburgers.
