Things you should know about Gas and Tips to Improve Fuel Economy
Things you should know:
- Air Conditioning does not waste more gas.
- If there was a small inexpensive device that could improve fuel economy, the automakers would be all over it
- Windows down or windows up make no difference to fuel economy
- There is no ideal day to purchase your gas (although prices tend to be higher on weekends)
- Turning your engine off and on does not waste more gas (engine off is better than idling)
Tips to improve fuel economy:
- Check your tire pressure.
- Take out any unnecessary weight.
- If you have cruise control, use it.
- Avoid speeding.
- Do regular maintenence on your car.
