Whatever I Feel Like Writing About

An African Malawian 14-year old boy named William Kamkwamba learned physics and how to construct a windmill using scraps from his house with no english skills, relying on diagrams to kind of feel his way to the words.

With the advent of the internet, we have access to near infinite knowledge. Because of this, we can do anything that anyone has achieved.

Some important things I believe he utilized:

Free Information

He had access to an underfunded library, which gave him the knowledge necessary to build the windmills. This means that anyone with access to a nice public library has access to infinite knowledge. This isn’t even counting the internet which opens up even more chambers of secrets.

Imagination

He had to be creative. He had to SEE how he could come up with the pieces to build his windmills, molding scraps to what he needed. In life, you need to be creative and resourceful.

Willpower

Without the willpower, determination, or the ambition to succeed, you can’t get anywhere. He drew his strength from the doubt of others. He knew he could shut up his critics by showing them what his imagination allowed him to create.

If we all utilize these three simple concepts, we can become much more complete people.
